Massachusetts | Incentive | 225 CMR 16.00: Alternative Energy Portfolio Standard (APS) | Businesses selling heating oil containing at least 10% eligible liquid biofuel may earn Alternative Energy Credits. Biofuel must be derived from waste feedstock such as waste vegetable oil, waste animal fats, or grease trap waste. |
New York | Incentive | Clean Heating Fuel Credit | Purchases of heating oil blended with a minimum of 6% biodiesel qualify for an income tax credit equal to one cent per gallon for each percent of biodiesel, up to 20 cents per gallon for B20 and higher blends, e.g., purchasing 500 gallons of B10 would qualify for a tax credit of $50 (500 x .10 = 50). Tax credit expires January 1, 2023. |
