As we move through “trade show season,” I am again reminded of how important these gatherings are for our industry. We gain strength as we gather, face-to-face, to address challenges and develop solutions. Together, we steer our collective businesses, organizations, and the entire delivered fuels and home services industries forward to a successful future.
We are just a few weeks away from the Southern New England Energy Conference (SNEEC) in Newport, Rhode Island. We are exactly one year away from the 2027 HEAT Show in Boston. I urge you to mark your calendars and attend both.
For the first time, NEFI will be a co-sponsor of SNEEC, being held September 14-15 at the Newport Marriott. We are proud to stand alongside the Connecticut Energy Marketers Association, Massachusetts Energy Marketers Association, New York State Energy Coalition, and Energy Marketers Association of Rhode Island in support of this longstanding regional event.
At SNEEC, NEFI will be presenting a track titled, “Navigating Policy Shifts in Dynamic Markets,” that will be open to all attendees. Sessions will cover energy choice and the national landscape, energy security and a keynote speech on Jones Act reform, the regulations affecting trucks and drivers, the future of the workforce, artificial intelligence for fuel and HVAC businesses, and the outlook for the biofuels market.
I am proud to be representing NEFI during an overview session featuring updates from the leading associations representing the motor fuel, heating oil, and propane industries regionally and in DC. In addition, NORA is offering a technical track and there will be two general tracks with sessions on running a stronger business and improving the bottom line.
Please plan to join us at the 2027 HEAT Show, August 18-20, at the Encore Boston Harbor Hotel, at which we will be celebrating NEFI’s 85th anniversary. We aim to make this the best event in our history, with exceptional speakers, our Award Gala, and the most expansive group of exhibitors in our history. We also anticipate presenting the results of the new NEFI Branding and Marketing Committee’s investigation into ways to make our organization more reflective of the diverse services that our members offer.
The cost/value proposition is clear. Your investment to attend events like these is returned many times over, but more than that, showing up is how we protect our businesses and shape the future of the industry and the millions of families we serve. I look forward to seeing everyone in Newport this fall and again in Boston next summer.
