This will be an event not to be missed. The HEAT Show will feature a Keynote Presentation by U.S. Representative Claudia Tenney of New York on Wednesday, August 20, at 11:00 a.m. Representative Tenney is a rising star in national politics, a member of the influential House Ways & Means Committee, and a staunch advocate for LIHEAP, renewable liquid heating fuels, and energy choice. The Congresswoman brings invaluable insight to our industry’s most pressing issues and the new political landscape in Washington.
Rep. Tenney’s keynote session will also include a Summit Spotlight panel discussion on “Energy Choice and Affordability,” which will examine key federal and state policy initiatives aimed at preserving consumer access to diverse energy options. The panel will be moderated by NEFI President & CEO Jim Collura, and include Liam Dotson, Manager of Government Affairs as well as representatives from many of NEFI’s national policy partner associations: Brian Caudill, Managing Director, Governmental Affairs and Public Policy, American Gas Association; Renee Lani, General Counsel, American Public Gas Association; Lauren Medlin, Manager, Federal Legislative Affairs, National Propane Gas Association; Mark Valentini, Vice President of Legislative Affairs, Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors Association; and Bob Wolfer, Manager, Government Relations, Bradford White.
On Wednesday at 12:30 p.m., there will also be a Summit Spotlight Lunch Presentation “Featuring State Clean Heat Standard Update” by Michael Ferrante, Massachusetts Energy Marketers Association, and Joe Uglietto, Diversified Energy Specialists. There will be a Summit Spotlight on Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m., “The Bioheat® Fuel Movement: A Call to Lead, Unite, and Deliver on the Promise of Clean Energy,” presented by Paul Nazzaro, President, Advanced Fuel Solutions; Liaison to Clean Fuels Alliance of America.
Also scheduled to appear: Jonny Gomes, known for his part in two World Series championship teams, including the Boston Red Sox 2013 win, will be joining us on the trade show floor for photos and autographs on Thursday, August 21.
Speaking of baseball … the HEAT Show will have an opener that’s sure to be a home run! On Tuesday, August 19, NEFI has arranged for a Backyard BBQ at Fenway Park for the Baltimore Orioles vs. Boston Red Sox game! Attendees will enjoy the sights and sounds of the ballpark with the Boston skyline as a backdrop! The social networking event will include a private open bar, buffet with specialty items, and a 20 percent discount voucher for the Red Sox Team Store for the day of the game.
Fueling America’s Future, Together!
Following along the event theme, Fueling America’s Future, Together, the trade show and Industry Summit will feature seminars, keynote speeches, exhibitors, and more on how all industry partners can work together to develop and implement a plan to safeguard the future of the industry.
Wednesday and Thursday, August 20-21, will be full of educational sessions for technicians and management, led by some of the smartest people in the industry! Technician training will include sessions on troubleshooting, Bioheat tech tips, advanced tankless coil boilers, and more. Management programs will range from making data-driven decisions and unlocking the future of human and artificial intelligence, to taming the administrative state and strategic planning, and so much more. The Industry Summit VII will be held on Friday, August 22, beginning at 8:00 a.m. The Summit will feature presentations on electrification and the advantages of liquid fuels for decarbonization in the Northeast, a summit discussion on the state of the industry, a review of the
Providence Resolution, and then a review and vote on a new Resolution that reflects the new political and cultural landscape. (See page 23)
The Legends Awards Gala on Thursday, August 21 at 6:00 p.m. will honor five industry Legends. For the first time, these honorees were nominated and then chosen by members of the liquid fuel community. The evening will also honor the inaugural Jack Sullivan Award for Fuel Industry Excellence!
