renewable-fuels industries, today announced the promotion of Leo Verruso to Vice President.
The appointment recognizes Verruso's 15 years of leadership at AFS and his central role in strengthening the company's operations, customer relationships, team culture and ability to respond to a rapidly evolving energy marketplace.
Throughout changing markets, periods of growth and increasingly complex fuel-quality challenges, Verruso has served as a steady operational leader - helping translate strategy into execution while keeping customer performance and reliability at the center of the business.

In his expanded role, Verruso will help guide AFS's strategic and operational direction, support the development of the company's team and capabilities, and deepen engagement with customers and industry partners across conventional and renewable liquid-fuel markets.
His promotion comes as fuel marketers, distributors, terminal operators and end users navigate a more complex product landscape that increasingly includes ultra-low-sulfur fuels, biodiesel, renewable diesel and other lower-carbon liquid-fuel solutions. AFS's focus remains on helping customers protect fuel quality, improve performance and integrate new fuels reliably into existing operations.
Verruso's leadership has been particularly important in building systems that deliver reliability and results, mentoring and empowering AFS team members, improving organizational efficiency, and strengthening long-term client relationships. His advancement to Vice President formalizes a leadership role he has earned through sustained performance and service.
